PIPELINE significa conduttura, ma anche (means to spread a rumor) di bocca in bocca. IN THE PIPELINE vuol dire in cantiere, in arrivo, in corso di realizzazione… Il trio pipeline è il nucleo, il tronco da cui si generano e si ramificano le varie forme che di volta in volta può assumere la formazione allargata Pipeline. Il trio ha a che fare con il numero 3, il triangolo, la piramide. Ha tre punti d’appoggio alla base e un vertice comune. È solido ma trasparente. Ha molte più facce di quelle che s’immaginano. Sa da dove parte ma non conosce dove potrà arrivare. Il gruppo ha pubblicato per la We Insist! Records il suo primo lavoro, la “Kakuan suite”, che nell’annuale sondaggio di musica Jazz il si è classificato al quinto posto come disco italiano dell’anno.
The word Pipeline might have different meanings. It might refer to the spreading of a rumour or to something that is in progress (the expression “in the pipeline” means a work or project which is still in progress). The pipeline trio is the central nucleus around which different ensambles might take shape. The music of the trio has multiple faces which bring the listeners to unexpected destinations through an exciting music journey. The trio has published its first record (Kakuan suite) for the We Insist! Records which positioned in the 5th place in the yearly poll held by the magazine Musica Jazz in the category best Italian record of the year.
